When to use Mimiq - Synthetic User Testing

Choose if

You're an agent building or iterating on a web UI (landing page, signup flow, checkout, marketing copy) and want fast, pre-deploy feedback from synthetic personas — what they thought, what objections stopped them, what would change their mind. No pre-computed scores; the README is explicit that your agent analyzes the raw monologue + objections to draw conclusions. Works against localhost out-of-the-box via auto-spawned cloudflared tunnel (requires cloudflared installed locally). 100 free personas, no signup; $10 for 2,000 thereafter.

Avoid if

You need real-user testing (these are LLM-simulated personas, not human research subjects — useful for catching obvious blockers and copy issues but not a substitute for a conversion-rate test with traffic). Also avoid if you can't install cloudflared on the agent host (required for localhost testing), or if your project policy forbids exposing pre-prod pages through third-party tunnels.

Risk Flags

  • MEDIUM data_quality Synthetic personas are LLM-simulated, not real users. README tone is honest about this ("raw per-persona results... your AI agent analyzes the raw feedback and decides what it means"), but agents must not treat results as a substitute for a real A/B test with live traffic.
  • LOW rate_limit Free tier 100 personas; paid $10 = 2,000 personas. Heavy use requires repeated top-ups or an enterprise arrangement.
  • LOW runtime Localhost testing requires `cloudflared` installed on the machine running the agent. Tunnel is spawned and torn down per call; intermittent failures fall back to "needs public URL" mode.
