When to use ac.tandem/docs-mcp

Choose if

You're inside an agent session (Claude Desktop / Cursor / similar MCP host) and want to look up Tandem-specific documentation — install guides, SDK reference, agent-setup workflows — without leaving the session. Streamable-HTTP transport keeps the round-trip fast.

Avoid if

You need Tandem's runtime features (engine, workboards, task claiming, approval-aware execution). This MCP is read-only documentation lookup — for the engine, install the Tandem CLI separately and use its own MCP wiring. Also avoid when the agent already has Tandem docs cached in context — adds one MCP to the registration surface for no benefit.

Risk Flags

  • LOW scope Documentation-only MCP. Exposes Tandem's docs (install / SDK / workflows) — does NOT expose the Tandem engine itself (workboards, task claiming, checkpoints). Agents needing the runtime must configure the separate Tandem engine MCP.
